‘STVac’ the acronym of Spray Technology Vaccine, the first innovative vaccine produced in the world. It was invented by UPM scientists, led by Prof. Dr. Mohd Zamri Saad from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. STVac was developed and produced through the use of advanced recombinant technology, and is different from other conventional imported vaccines. It has been shown to be effective in protecting small ruminants, particularly goats and sheep from this bacterial infection.
Cross protects from all type of strains
These vaccines are sprayed into the nostrils, where they can stimulate an immune response without the need for injection.
Many animals are sensitive to handling and injections, which can cause stress and discomfort. Intranasal spray vaccine is generally well-tolerated by animals and may be perceived as less invasive, leading to reduced stress during the vaccination process.
Since these vaccines are administered through the nasal passages rather than through injection, they bypass the need for piercing the skin or muscle, which can significantly reduce discomfort for the animals.
Zero withdrawal period for vaccine to clear of the body of the animals.
No syringe and needles required
